- Description: Provides financial assistance for eligible residents to purchase food. Benefits are issued monthly on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card. The card is used as a debit card to buy food at participating retailers. Emergency CalFresh assistance may be available within three days in certain circumstances. Monthly benefit amount is determined by income and family size.
